It is kept next to a window that is open most of the time. I noticed it had some thrips and lavae on the leaves. Can it be saved?

Remove the pests (could be thrips, could be spider mites, you need to take a close look at them), keep an eye out to see if they return, leave the plant be and it will recover with time.
