It's very early this year due to the warm winter we have had.

Here is my Plumeria stenopetala in the rain from last weekend.Thumb of 2013-02-18/Dutchlady1/7d6be6

New to plummie world and All Things Plants (my first gardening forum website). Great to see plumerias blooming this time of the year. I have a no ID plummie (I nicknamed it peachy pink), which bloomed in January and stopped blooming when the 2-day cold snapped occurred 2 weeks ago. Hoping anyone can help ID:

Characteristics: Beefy Stem; 3 feet tall when I bought it from Home Depot and almost 4 feet tall when it bloomed
Leaves: have reddish color undertone
Inflo: Reddish; buds starts red/to dark pink
Blooms: peachy-pink but fades to almost white as the blooms get older. (Light fragrance)
New branches: 4 new branches after the bloom.Thumb of 2013-02-25/GigiPlumeria/abcfab

Welcome! Gigi. I would not like to ID your plumeria at this time of year. Those colors could be quite a bit more intense in the summer. Please keep posting pictures~

We're still having cold spells here in North Texas. Seventy yesterday and a front comes in tonight with lows in upper 30's overnight and high 54 with rains. Just a few more weeks and we'll bring them out of the house.

A first bunch of blooms on one of my deciduous plumeria, this one puts out a bloom stalk before it starts with leaves, the other is putting out leaves first.

I suppose it is a local variety. I never know whether they have names or not. This one is a fairly common color around here so it is probable. The scent is cinnamony and not very sweet. It completely loses all leaves in the winter, at least for me. I believe I have seen some around the city that have leaves in winter, sparse though. I water them through the winter, not a lot, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm convinced that since it is not cold or lack of water, it must be hours of daylight that tell them when to slow down. We only have a couple of hours of difference in daylight between winter and summer (11 hours minimum in winter, 13 maximum in summer) but it must be enough.

I think I might be able to figure that out, not sure though. Let me do some inquiries.
