How are all the Northern Gardeners doing in February 2013?
I am not getting much done yet.
Going to try, and do some WS over the weekend.
I was going to start up the fluorescent lights, but going away, so
not doing lights until end of March this year.

Nothing happening here Caroline, supposed to get snow flurries for the next 3 days. Have kept myself busy with my Amaryllis blooms. I posted photos on Cubits. http://cubits.org/bluegardens/... Also photos of winter in my garden. http://cubits.org/bluegardens/...

I also plan on a thread for birds and another for animals. This was Sharon's idea because she liked my photos so much. Green Grin!

Where are you going for your trip?

I'm just now starting to get the GH going. I meant to start more seeds yesterday, but need to do a bit more clean up and sort out what plugs in where before I get too carried away! Sigh, it's snowing again, so I have to change shoes to go outdoors, and I just hate that!

I potted up little seedlings of snaps, petunias, penstemon, and pansys today and put them back under lights. Some of the cuttings I took last fall of coleus and geraniums had gotten to big so I took cuttings from them and threw the overgrown plants away. I'm already almost out of room and there's no veggies started yet. Hilarious! Hilarious!

The Pansys and Penstemon can start hardening off in the middle of May. The Penstemon takes a long time until it blooms so I have to start them pretty early. I usually put anything that is even slightly hardy in my little trailor and pull it in and out of the garage according to the weather and how much space I have under lights. Whistling I usually get ahead of what I should when starting some things cause I'm ready to be gardening but the weather isn't! Big Grin
