I spoke with Peter yesterday and he would prefer to send out the bulbs in several batches, so while the co-op/group buy will CONTINUE UNTIL AT LEAST APRIL15, the orders that have been received and paid for will be sent in the first of next week.

All this means is that some people will be getting their bulbs a little earlier.

If you think you might add to your order, or want to wait for warmer weather before shipping, please let me know. It's not a problem at all for me to hold the bulbs in my cool basement until you are ready to have them mailed.

Hi Shirley!
I'll send you a treemail tomorrow with your totals, I'm too tired now and will probably make a mistake! LOL.

You have 2 Dark Eyes after your Coral Passion and then another Dark Eyes farther down. Did you just want 1 Dark Eyes or more?

Good news!
The first set of bulbs will be shipped from Pacific Callas on Monday, March 25 and arrive to my house Wed or Thurs. Please check your weather for the next 10 days (weather.com is good for this) and let me know if you want me to mail your box right away or wait to ship.

Remember you can still order bulbs up to at least April 15. Tell others, too. This year we ordered about 100 bulbs less than last year and I hope Pacific Callas still thinks it will be worth it to offer a co-op in 2014.

Hello everyone !!! I've tried callas before but they don't come back for me the second year. I'm in zone 10B. What am I doing wrong as I would love to get some of these bulbs and grow them myself. Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated and hopefully I'll get to buy some from this co-op. Thanks again !!!

Hi Rolando, and welcome!
I can take some guesses but I've never grown Callas in a zone warmer than 7, so I can't be too much practical help.
Were they colored callas that didn't come back after the first year? Could it be possible they stayed too wet over the winter? that might have rotted the bulbs.

Tell us about your growing conditions, maybe that will give a hint.

Welcome!

Hello Susan,

They were all colored callas that didn't come back for me. I just did some research and found out that most won't come back except for the Aethiopica and it's varieties. So I would like to try the Z. aethiopica and the Green Goddess and if you happen to have any of these available please let me know. Z. aethiopica ‘Crowborough’, the hardiest; ‘Green Goddess’, spathe mostly green; ‘Little Gem’, a free-flowering dwarf (1ft); ‘White Sail’, spathe opens very wide. Please let me know what's available from the ones that I have posted.
Thanks again !!!!

Just curious, what did your research say about why most won't come back?
I'm in zone 6 and the Flame I left in the ground came back.

Let me know how many Z. aethiopica and Green Goddess you want. We also have Diva Maria which is an aethiopica type, but has some pinkish-lavender color.
