Thread OP

we have two beautiful conifer shrubs and trees which have started to develop significant brown leaves at the base which are growing significantly. Can anyone advise if this is a normal or if the trees are starting to die.we really hope? Is there anything that we can do to reverse this?

Welcome!

Can you take some closer photos of the brown spots and also the green parts on both trees?

Can you tell us were these trees are located?

Has it been especially hot this summer? Are you watering the same as you always have?

Crawl underneath them to see if the trunks are buried in littler (old leaves, dirt, garbage...). Can you see the top of the root flare?

Are they dying all the way around? Or on just one side? Which side?
