How nice that your new additions are already blooming for you! Solar Flash is well named - knock-your-eye-out color.

Does anyone know who Toni's white "Chrysler Imperial" might really be? I quite like it, or at least I like Toni's picture of it.

I don't know what that rose is, Porkpal, but I think it's one of the mystery roses in my garden too. I recognize the green and red buds, which seem so odd for a pure white rose.

Toni, I have no problem believing your Perfume Delight is Perfume Delight. What makes you think it isn't?

PPal - I couldn't get a decent picture of it with my phone showing the extremely slight pinkish tinge of a new bud unfurling and right now we've got some nasty thunderstorms out there so I doubt it's going to look decent in the morning. I'll take my camera out in the morning & try to get a picture of it.. I know it's not JFK as it has a pink tinge and not a yellow tinge. It's not very thorned at all, smells of rose and not citrus, so I know it's not Honor. I picked it up at Home Depot last year when I was on the Hunt last year. It was labeled with a HD tag of "Chrysler Imperial" and there was no other tag on it (almost 100% of HD's roses this year have a secondary tag from Weeks stating exactly what the rose is). It has a standard looking HT look to it, is one of my taller roses (about 2' tall, which is pretty tall for a 1 year old rose for me), the leaves are a medium green and not too glossy. The bloom is about 4", but I think that as it gets more established it'll produce bigger blossoms. Maybe Full Sail? It's a pretty nice rose and fits in perfectly where I wanted! Finding white HTs here that aren't JFK is almost impossible.

Zuzu - I haven't gotten a decent shot of the blossom first opening up, but it's definitely not a full rose as seen in HMF http://www.helpmefind.com/gard... At best it has 10 petals and the petals are slightly ruffled like Angel Face.

But Full Sail has the standard buds for a white rose. Maybe it's Pascali, which is available just about everywhere, including Home Depot. Jay-Jay's photo in HMF shows a colorful bud. I already have Pascali in my garden, but I suppose I could have two. I'll have to compare my Pascali to my mystery rose.

Your Perfume Delight seems to have a lot more than 10 petals in the photos in your first post on page 1. I do love the ruffles and scallops. Maybe the next flush will have the standard look.

My Perfume Delight looks like your picture, Toni, except mine has almost no leaves.

I don't think the mystery white is Pascali - or else the one I have isn't Pascali; mine is a much taller, "smoother" rose (?) and has little fragrance - to me.

Pascali has no scent and this smells delicious almost enough to eat. Got some bad pictures of the best bloom on there. We had pretty nasty thunderstorms most of the night, so that's why everything looks waterlogged. And Pascali does not survive here.. our winters are too brutal for it (I've already tried Pascali once a few years ago).

Mystery White - back yard (waterlogged & half fried, plus sun hadn't made it over the trees yet, so that's why it's so dark.)

Othello - front yard (I had to hold up the cane.. it honestly weighs about 2lbs from the wet blooms. I guess I'll have to put this on a trellis or something)
