What are you using for glue and do you hope to keep it outdoors? I did a mosaic on a glass window once but it got so heavy and unwieldy that I never put it back in the window frame!
Have you ever heard of THE MAGIC GARDEN in Philadelphia? It is a neighborhood of wildly mosaiced buildings by Isaiah Zagar. I would love to see it someday.

yes and I wonder if the sun fades the colors out of the glass? I mean 'real' stained glass would be made w pigments meant to be in the sun I am assuming?

It has been my experience sun does not in any way fade color from real glass. It will, however, do so to the artificial (painted on color) stained glass kits that were so popular in the 80's.

That's true, Peggy. Real stained glass does not fade. I have put it in sunny windows and outside with no fading.

nature keeps amazing me
The Magic Garden is amazing. I used to drive by it every evening going home from the hospital in center city Philly. It was the half way home spot. If I got lucky, I'd get stuck in traffic and be able to sit there looking at it.

I have taken a break from the big work to start doing the tops of the concrete retaining walls out by our pool. I cleaned them all up and repainted them and am putting mosaic on the tops, my child is going to paint tropical floral murals in the fronts! I also made these little birdhouses for my new cottage garden. The red one id called 'Posh House' and the yellow one 'Celestial House'

Very trippy. Cool.
Not sure that the birds would appreciate such homes, as the bright colors could attract the attention of predators, though. But I bet the birds will still visit them. I can already see a hummingbird nosing around the red one, in my mind.

Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.

I have similar squirrel problems so we got this suet feeder which works perfectly:

No squirrel has gotten their way into that, despite us having it out in the open for several months. Woodpeckers love it.
