I am no longer a homegrown Pineapple Virgin.
My rooted Pineapple top put on its first fruit in May.

I left the Pineapple to fully ripen on the plant. Well actually it fell off on its own as I did not want to remove it before its time. 😂
I placed the fruit in the refrigerator over night to get it good and cold.

Enjoyed the fruit of my labor very much. It was not large as those from the grocery store, but made up for size with a very delicious and juicey fruit with very little core.
Top will be grown (as well as the mother plant) on for a future fruit.

They are great, aren't they? I used to grow them when we lived in the Marshall Islands. Those were really juicy and flavorful.

Yum, it does look delicious.

I should start growing some in pots. I do miss them.
