I have a L shaped Ginger Bed that I made 9 years ago .. it still has the original wood borders I made and I’m amazed they haven’t rotted. The short side of the bed houses new arrivals and Costus. On the long side its all hedychiums.
When I finally got around to digging up the ginger bed, it was three years after their due date and I should have known last year that it was already at critical mass. Oddly enough, I never noticed what was happening to one side of the ginger bed until it was empty .. they were heading due East.
