but about 4 years ago I finally worked up some interest. I started with a single 'Blue Angel' Hosta... planted in late summer. The following spring it came up larger than in the photo:
So I added the 'Chocolate' Ageratina, 'Color Glory' Hosta and the 'Parsley' Fern... and by this spring it was looking pretty lush
Two potted ferns were added this spring to create some textural and form diversity:
Sunset Fern
and Crested Male King Fern
It's a peaceful and calming place to sit next to in the evenings... to read a book and listen to some music.
The 'Chocolate' Ageratina adds some bright, white bloom in the fall:
