But first...
I've had a real nice 'Black and Blue' Salvia [Salvia guaranitica 'Black and Blue'] growing in the front bed for, well, eight seasons now.

And each season I looked forward to seeing a few [very few] little pink moths perched on various parts of the Salvia:

It took me way too long to realize the Salvia was the ONLY plant it perched on.
And it took until recently to learn this little moth, known as Southern Pink Moth, laid eggs that generated larvae that ate the blooms on my Salvia!

Edward R. Murrow put it well when he said, "The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer."
