Under Clintbrown's post What are you propagating I posted that I was teaching myself to
Clone/tissue culture and Loretta NJ said I should start a post. I watched a couple videos that
were recommended to watch and spotted a kit on Amazon I thought I would try. Well the kits sold
out and I again watch the video, took notes on what was needed. The next day I set out to gather
the items for the kit. I also email the person that offered the kits to see it there would be more.
I did find some Agar mixtures that this person offered so my kit was completed.

Three days later I sat down and watched the video again, more notes and decided the Pressure
cooker wouldn't work on the glass top. So back to the videos and found one that used the microwave!!
Got all my containers sterilized and ready to pour. Then set aside until I had time to work on what I
wanted to clone/tissue culture.

I heard back for the guy with the kits and he asked me how I was doing. He was impressed I made my own
kit and gave me some pointers. Not doing MJ and he was excited I would branch out to other plants. For years
I have taken tip cuttings as I knew that was a pure part of all Brugmansia. So this was a piece of cake!!

I had tried a couple and set them in the greenhouse under lights. Wrong thing to do!!

I had a friend stop by Tues. night to pick up some cuttings of plants he had seen. He was
telling me he changed his job and was cloning now......Oh my gosh, give me some pointers
as the pollen dishes had molded. He was impressed I tried and really gave me some helpful
tips. I had taken some D. Missouri Marble cuttings, stem and leaves cuttings. He thought I
did a great job and in the bag of cuttings he took pollen and some clones. His words were
keep trying!! I get to see his room when I go and visit.

So today I filled the last of my containers.
