I think a plant would need to spread on its own, beyond being just the individual that was planted by a human, to be considered as having invaded something/somewhere. Something that never gets a chance to bloom (so there can't be any seeds) and can't grow more than a few leaves or, in a good year, a few vines maybe a few feet long during the warm part of the year, doesn't get into that category.
There are several spots where this seems to be able to survive winter here, but most years and most spots just produce a poof of foliage and look like Caladiums, with no signs of making any vines, especially the spots in more sun. This is the best display I've seen from it, a few years ago in pretty heavy shade. This individual died the next year when I had to quit watering that area during a drought:
In 8b, there are multiple frosts reliably every winter. There is variability of what the low temp will be that year, but guaranteed multiple frosts over at least 2.5 months.
