Jo,By big box, I usually mean places that sell hardware, garden, houseware, plumbing, etc all together in one store such that prices are lower.

Freddie's is a PNW local chain that Kroger bought up. Really hasn't been the same since.

ok bev, we are thread jumping and i think we have caught up with each other.I just explained on the other post that i was joking with you because i had just been joking about over here & went to the other thread & you said it their.

Think we can get back to succulents now.

Thanks for the idea's about companion plants.I like the iris idea and i love them, but they do tend to be costly.I had some double bearded iris but i think the hill has washed so much that now they are buried to deep.I need to try to find what i can and move them.

I picked up the draba last fall at a NARG's member plant sale here in Colorado. It over wintered in that tiny plastic pot. I came home yesterday to the little blooms and thought I would take a pic right away since we are getting 5 more inches of snow today and tomorrow! Crying Boy do I miss Oregon!!

That's so cute. Glad you made it home safe. I saw that weather report. Thumbs down

Clint, I like those too. I'm going to plant them around my upright sedums for color in spring/summer. I have a few coming from SRG, so that's my plan..
