This plant is 4 years old and has lived most of its life in my semi-outdoor atrium or the interior sky-lighted atrium. Thumb of 2021-09-26/Peggy8b/cd3eeb But after setting outside on the front porch for just a month (covered but much brighter light), at Gina's suggestion, it has now set its firt bract/spadix, so I think it's much happer out on the porch. Don't know that it has been pollinated, but I doubt it, since it's totally closed (see photo below), so it probably won't bloom and show its spathe. I have brought both plants inside for fall/winter now, but will definitely house them (I have two pots ot it) outside on the front porch next growing season.

I'm assuming this is indeed a spadix because it has been visible several days now yet hasn't put forth a leaf.

This is one of my favorite ones, ours all winter in the Brug House where we keep the temps at 60 during the winter.
I just love the color of the leaves, yes......a new leaf is coming.
