Thread OP

I live in South Florida, and I recently purchased some White Bird of Paradise and Areca Palms, in 1 gallon plastic containers straight from the nursery. What I would like to know is, if I want these plants to grow bigger, although they are indoors, do I need to Re-Pot them into larger containers? I did some searching around Google, and several Plant websites said, they could actually go downhill for awhile after repotting!

Welcome! to the forum OnTheCoast!
Just saw your post. I would repot only if the plants look large for their pots or you have greenhouse-like conditions that would promote fast growth. If there isn't enough light and warmth the chances of growth slowing or incorrect watering are much greater.
