Jean, I had no idea they'd rebloom! I'm learning so much from this thread! It has me wanting to get a dwarf crepe of my own... it's illegal for me to cut the ones on my property at all because they belong to the city. I do snip off the suckers when I think no one is looking, but taking out a ladder for the seedheads is probably a step too far. Whistling

This reply is a little late, but yes, they do rebloom -- that year I had three flushes, and have had at least two every year since until DH and I don't do ladders any more! They will have a few flowers after their initial flush without having the seed heads removed, but not as much as when you trim the seed heads off. I did have a neighbor stop by and thank us for not murdering ours!

Of course I hate seeing the mutilated crepe myrtles. Personally, I don't have any CM's, just because they're so way overdone in Texas and I want to be different.
