My name is Tracia John and I just joined your lovely community today. I am a final year Mechanical Engineering student from the Caribbean and I have almost 0 experience with greenhouses. I saw this active forum and I thought I would give it a shot to see get direct info from real greenhouse owners!

Currently, for my final year graduating project, I'm designing a rover as a greenhouse environmental, and process, control system. It will detect parameters like temp, humidity, luminosity and collect soil samples to detect content like soil moisture. Then relay all that to a remote location using the internet. You will be able to pilot it as well. I am thinking of incorporating spectral imaging but I have limited knowledge on precision farming techniques such as that. I am also thinking of adding a drone dock so you can dock a standard drone when not in use.

I have a few questions but the main pressing questions I have at the moment are:

1. What weather monitoring or control system do you use in your greenhouse?

2. Do you have any general feedback of the mobile unit: the rover? (Would you rather see a wall- mounted system?)

Will you be receptive to completing a short survey for any further Qs I might have?
