Thanks Joanna! And Laurie, Kristi, Fleur, Gardener2493, & everyone

His time-lapse videos are absolutely stunning!
I've tried to do a similar time-lapse to capture them opening, but they are unpredictable, and only
last 2-3 days max. So it's a special occasion when they do.
E. 'Los Angeles' started to put out an
>=8 bloom "crown" (!) in April this year, but
didn't follow through. If it had, it would have been spectacular.
But Echinopsis will bloom more than once a year if
conditions are right.
E. 'L.A.' is in a pot by itsself, but have several others together in one pot.
(when first planted)
The little dark green one in the middle has a pretty orange bloom,
and has bloomed more than any other.
I will re-pot them all in a larger pot (25"X11") this winter to give them more room.
They have put out many pups on the periphery, so may take some off
to start more plants, but may leave some on at least one mother plant, too.
They don't have large root systems, so seem to be fine together.
Hope you will give these very special & rewarding plants a try.
BTW.
many thanks to @Baja_Costero for helping me with the echinopsis
in 2019!
Their banner introduced me to echis, & I was hooked.
Just amazing.
