Out of curiosity, I've propagated several tip cuttings (about 8-10" tall) from A. curassavica because I'm hoping to save the snippings in case the roots don't survive winter. I'm on the edge of hardiness for that species. I've put them in water and they took root very quickly, and have continued to bloom while doing so. This was so easy! I didn't start this until a few weeks ago, so I haven't had time yet to try putting them directly into soil. Assuming I have something left inside or out by spring, I'll definitely try that. These plants are so tall and thin, it would be easy to have a LOT more of them.
Has anyone else tried cuttings/snippings of other species? What method did you use?
