Some members on here know I'm not all that into irises, but this...absolutely superb photo! All the different colors and just the number of blooms is amazing.

Thank you, Johannian. This Spring was the best my irises have looked. This was the third year of growth after putting them all in raised beds. It was quite a bloom season Smiling

I agree, that the photo is fantastic. Thanks Lindsay @Lbsmitty for the info that this is the third year after transplant; it gives me inspiration. I have planted quite a few new iris into a raised bed in hopes that one day I will have a nice display of blooms. My only fear is that I have planted them too close together.

Lori, your bed looks great. I don't think you planted them too close. It all depends on how often you want to divide them. I packed them in pretty tight in my raised beds to help keep down weeds. I did some thinning out this summer and need to thin more out next summer.
