This ficus is listed as 'Panama' on a couple of sites, but I'd like to know the 'real' species nameThumb of 2013-03-12/pniksch/0ffc38

Wish I could help but that's a new one to me, I wouldn't have even known it was a ficus ... sure is pretty! Hopefully someone will come along soon with a species name for you.

Lin, are they playing around with Ficus also, genetically I mean. The rounded leaves were reminding me of something until my eyes fell on the elongated leaves.
Regards,
Arif.

It seems to be Ficus punctata, "Panama" could be a named used to make it more saleable.

Fikus punctata (Ficus punctata)-also known as the fikusem panama. This type of fig tree is richly branched, Evergreen vine green, dwurzędow

The herbarium specimen leaves look correct. Most references show leaves like this, I found a couple showing rounded leaves which are probably not correct.
