Hi Cinda:
This is not a direct answer to your question, but:
Some of my fellow master gardeners are members, and have become quite involved after taking training with the organization. We now host a seed swap every year that is headed by those members, and it's an amazing event for learning to save seeds, swapping seeds and buying seeds. We've also started several seed libraries with seeds that members have saved (and some that seed companies have donated
). We have a lot of great speakers at our seed swap, as well. It's a great learning experience.
I would say it has been a huge benefit to our group that some members have become active with Seed Savers.
