Another plant purchased at Stop and Shop, it was planted in a container on my deck and cheerfully overwintered to produce a month of bloom in September

Your banner just pops out at me like a bouquet. Asters are such a dependable garden bloomer and banner subject. Great job done.

These blooms look a lot fuller (more petals) than the wild varieties I see around here, but the same luscious color. Nice to know this cultivated form retains the hardiness of its wild relatives. They make a beautiful banner.
