Acer Granditentatum, Acer Rubrum, Acer Saccharinum, Acer saccharum, Acer x freemanii, Acer macrophyllum?

Go with saccharinum or x freemanii. Saccharinum grows to beat the band although there is usually some tip-burn. x Freemanii does okay. Grandidentatum is a maybe. The others want more humidity and/or winter chill. Real dormancy doesn't happen for most of them. Even though macrophyllum is native to Arrowhead and Big Bear, it gets way colder there than it does in Mission Viejo. It doesn't even do well here.
