Not all, only the ones that matter, the ones who made/make the laws. The rest cannot afford this luxury. They die by the hundreds having country moonshine, break fluid(ethelineglycol), wood spirits. Just look up the yearly statistics for South Asia for deaths due to that.

Arif.

You probably have the cannibalistic type of slugs Arif. They will eat each other. Ours here in the PNW are plant eaters, although we do have a introduced slug that is cannibalistic. Sad

Yes, some varieties are cannibalistic. But our native slugs are not cannibalistic, and they aren't the ones that eat our much loved plants.

Then why kill them? I am going to kill mine with a vengeance now that I know they are bloodthirsty. They can polish of an entire bed during the night. Lynn, what do these slugs kill and eat, if you don't mind me asking that.

Arif.

We have had little to no rain so its pretty dry here. However it did rain last night so they will be coming. I have something for them if they start eating my plants!!

The carnivorous ones eat each other, dead slugs, earthworms, your piece of liver mentioned in an above post. Most varieties only eat plant material. Some eat only fungus, mushrooms, etc. Some only eat dead plant material. Depends of which type of slug.

Oh! They clean up the environment like our vultures, so they have a utility after all.
