Thread OP

I recently bought this fiddle leaf fig and had to drive it back to my place 30 min on a truck bed. Since then I repotted in a similar sized pot with a drainage hole at the bottom. Gave it two cups of water and it's in front of a window that gets lots of light. I have a humidifier about a foot away that I use. The leaves are starting to droop and curl on the edges, particularly the lower ones.

Please help not sure what I am doing wrong. Does it need a larger pot? Do I need to fertilize? Should I do the bathtub soak up water method next time I water?

Welcome!

You should rewind back to the cash register at the store, find better transportation to protect it from wind and weather and not re-pot. But that's done. Your tree is suffering from stress and shock - its had a hard few days.

Water it until water comes out the bottom of the pot. Do NOT fertilize. Then be patient and wait for recovery.

Your tree needs sun in the house. What way does the window face its currently in? Where do you live?

Sounds good. Keep it as close to the window as you can.

these guys are total brats when it comes to moving them.. they don't like to be moved from one room of the house to another.. forget a ride in January in the open bed of a truck!

this is one of the only houseplants I don't bring out in Summer because even though they do much better outside with more heat and sun than my livingroom they'd have a fit ever time I moved them back inside and drop half their leaves in a week. obnoxious little buggers, they just can't handle environmental swings. find a sunny window that hopefully isn't to drafty be patient and never ever move it, lol. when you must repot, only do it in late spring when it's actively growing w long days and only move up to a slightly large pot otherwise it will have another tantrum and drop its leaves again.
