I purchased the above plant from Home Depot not knowing it shipped from Florida. I am in Los Angeles. After 6 long days, it arrived in very poor shape - 20 broken stems (which I mostly removed) and very limp leaves. It also shipped with a large metal nut which likely caused much of the damage. Soil was very, very saturated (so was the plant) and I had to poke 4 small holes in the bottom of the pot so the excess water could properly drain.
Its condition has worsened after a week of sitting by a large, east-facing window (pics below). Is there any chance I can salvage the plant? What can I do to improve its condition?
