I think this one was a Paetzold hybrid, it was labeled Gitty Paetz. But I always thought that was mislabeled. It looked more like Roger Paetz.

Beautiful!! I would enjoy seeing the container or whole plant view to learn how to up-pot my Showboat epi.

I have to take some pics.
But, I am not sure how helpful I might be here, this one shares a regular claypot with Orbea variegata. Many times a piece breaks off a plant and I stick it into another nearby pot. Next time I look, the stuff is rooted, so I leave it alone! Smiling

I could get a sense for how large a pot to use and what type of setting it's growing in (for example, for light exposure) from your photos. I learn much from seeing full plant photos. Thanks for helping a newbie try to get a first flower on his Showboat epi.

This one actually sat in bright light in the greenhouse over the Winter because of the Orbea in the same pot.
Most of my other Epiphyllum hybrids spend the Winter in an unheated, but frost-free garage, the door has tiny windows. The plants are quite dormant by the time I can leave the garage door open again, at least during the day. By the middle of April I move them outside (here in NJ ) and they wind up eventually against the house wall or on a stand in a front border.
I am not home right now to take pictures, but look at the picture from May 27. I usually cram as many cuttings as possible in a pot to start out and let them hopefully fill it out tightly.

Are any members on this epiphyllum forum located in Canada? The reason I ask is I am wondering if they could provide me with the names of sellers of cuttings in Canada. There are numerous vendors in the States but the process to import them into Canada seems to be too complicated as far as customs etc.

Talk about crammed with cuttings. Thumbs up need to work on that to get any number of flowers, I think.
Just opened three buds early am, this is at 6 am.

I just wanted to see if you all think that this is Epiphyllum pumilum. It finally bloomed and I was able to get a good picture. It looks a lot like oxypetulum, but the plant and the bloom is much smaller. The bloom was also open during the day, which my oxypetulum never was. Thanks.

Yes Sondra that certainly looks like E. Pumilum to me.
Similar foliage to E. Oxypetalum.
It will most likely have a lot of blooms next time as it is a prolific bloomer.
Very nice.

It is pumilum and grows very fast. I bought a small plant last year. It has more than 20 flower buds now and will bloom soon.
