Thanks everyone......If they weren't so willing, if they were difficult to grow, there might be a dandelion society. I've seen some pasture/fields that are full of them in glorious bloom in the spring and it is a beautiful sight. Still don't want them in my lawn or flower beds though.

I could tolerate them if they just bloomed and stayed low but I despise them when they go to seed. I mow the lawn and a day or two later the stems are sticking up covered with those awful "parachutes". I actually only have them in one lawn that was neglected for a while...very few in my other lawns.
