Wonderful progress!!

I ended up finishing it today. Didn't intend to, but had a rhythm going so decided to keep going.

The background was originally going to be a dark blue, but I decided I liked the grey paper.

That is beautiful!!! Praise for your talented work!! Also...couldn't help but notice, but is that a tiny mole on your hand??? If so that's an awesome coincidence because I have one in the exact same spot!!

Gorgeous, and I like how you kept it grey. I definitely think that is probably better than the blue.

@Macrocentra Lovely orchard print. So pretty 🤩 I have a friend who prints floral prints on fabrics and makes pillows .

Betula papyrifera trees - paper birch bark collected with lichens and moss . Sections of bark placed between glass and poster board in frame.

Makes great Xmas wrapping paper , BD or any gifts.

I like the bark frames. That'd make a great background for preserved butterflies or other insects. Made me think of my two luna moths I have to frame. I may take some inspiration from those.

The butterfly idea is a great idea. I have a few butterflies saved could pop a couple inside with the bark.

Another fun project during winter are using dried flowers , grasses , leaves.
Also for background paper in collage is glue, starch and other dried floral materials added in mixer making floral paper to make a collage.

Beautiful work on the flowers, TK, and the mixed medium art, Bea! The last one looks like a quilt.

TK ! Beautiful. Isn't it nice to work on flowers. You begin to realize how intricate and colorful they are. Sometimes I'll pull up a lawnchair in the garden and study a particular flower with a magnifying glass. Details are so interesting.

I never thought of pressing a collage of garden & woodland findings. What a great idea. I like what you've done.

I was inspired awhile back by another person's ingenuity and think I may give this idea a try:

Oooh, that's fantastic! It would blow over on a day like today but I love it.

Once I saw a picture frame hanging from a tree. It was really cool, rotating slowly and gently in the breeze, framing an ever-changing vista.

plants and flowers have so many unique characteristics and features we can't always see with a naked eye. The Framed pic is really a great feature for any garden.

For any collage you can use just about anything even add butterflies saved from the garden to incorporate in any collage. I have used nothing but rose petals to make wall hanging features using different colors/shades for a ombré effect.

Also gathered my grapevines , dried and then woven a sphere for a recycled hanging light then applied battery operated fairy lights with remote control on/off for night use.

Inside hanging ball close up with fluffy butterfly weed seeds and dried butterfly.
