This is another new Agastache from Terra Nova. Beautiful flowers!

Sooner Plant Farm is the only place I found it to purchase.

https://www.soonerplantfarm.co...

I not getting this one, as I'm already getting 2 of 'Kudos Coral' pots from Sooner this May. (only have so much money to spend)

Wanted y'all to know about it.

That's a pretty one that is sure to drive the hummingbirds bonkers. Marilyn you must have some acreage on your property to grow all these plants.

Hilarious! We just have a small subdivision lot. No greenhouse either.

No, I grow most of the Salvias in containers and a few Agastaches in containers (rest of the Agastaches go into the ground).

We have a side entry driveway and with only one car between hubby and me, I have a lot of containers that sit at the end of the driveway.

What about you Gerris? Do you have a greenhouse? Do you have a large lot to grow your Salvias?

I live in a townhouse, with no greenhouse. I wish we lived in a larger place but I make do by growing plants in containers on the deck, and in a small part of our driveway. It's a jungle on the deck when the morning glory vines all get big and the salvias grow tall.

Since this subject has been introduced, what size containers do you use for your plants? Some of them are very large, so do 3 gallon or 5 gallon pots work for you? I tried to grow agastaches but they always died, and I am sure poor drainage was the reason. If I try again, I would have to use containers.

I grow my plants in 3 to 5 gallon pots. I don't do so well with Agastache. You'll have to try the old empirical method, trial and death, until you figure out what works in your location.

I usually have plastic containers that are 24 inch, 20 inch, 16 inch and three "very large black nursery tree size" that are plastic and I leave all outside during the Winters.

I've grown Agastaches in 16 inch and also in one of the "very large black nursery tree size". I make sure they all have excellent drainage. I add extra perlite in the potting soil. Sometimes the Agastaches don't survive the Winter and sometimes they do. Can't remember if I added gypsum in the containers, but starting this year, it's for sure going in.

For planting in the ground: I always make sure when I plant newly purchased Agastaches, to make sure the hole and soil has excellent drainage. I add all-purpose sand (inside Lowe's in masonry isle), gypsum and make sure the soil isn't fertile and rich. Then add small crushed gravel (I'm using limestone gravel) on top and in the hole too.
