Thread OP
Chicago
I have a few different kinds of ivy plants. English and Spear are two and I have noticed that they are getting dry feeling and many leaves will just easily fall off at the branch/stem base. I am not sure if this is a winter thing due to drier air or if I am over watering or maybe they are not getting enough light. Oddly, there is still new growth coming on the same plant where many leaves are falling off so I am not quite sure what the issue is. Any advice or thoughts appreicated.

Second to that. They easily get spider mites which cause leaves to get pale, dry up, fall off. Mites create fine webbing and a dusty feel to the living leaves.
Having some new growth is a good sign. Thumbs up

Ivy (Hedera is the genus) are very tough outdoor plants, they can take a lot of cold and humidity and drought. But indoors, they typically don't get enough light or humidity ( don't bother misting, that won't work). They're really picky! and then there's the spider mite thing..

Can you put them outside?
Plant it and they will come.
