This rose is in my neighbor's yard. According to the son it came from his grandfather's garden. It is a once bloomer . This year I am going to try to root it. I am so in love with this rose and would love to know if anyone has an idea of what it is.

It looks like Harison's Yellow to me.

Harison's Yellow looks right and it fits the time frame. They have it on the Northside of the house and it is described as being shade tolerant. They yellow is one of the brightest yellows I have ever seen.
