This is my second year growing Astilbe in my yard. Now as fall approaches some of them turn their leaves orange-golden, others simply shrivel dry. By any chance, is your purple a named variety?. This past season I was able to get a few roots from my bulb provider and one of them is a tad towards purple although I would say red. My first ones are white. All of them just lovely.
