I have been trying to locate a Red‑stemmed Apple Mint plant (Mentha × gracilis 'Madalene Hill') for several years now. Its other names are: "Red Stem Apple Mint", "Madalene Hill Mint", Doublemint 'Madalene Hill', & also just "Double Mint" (+ a few others) — not to be confused with the other "Double Mint", a Mentha × spicata, one; I am looking for the ½‑peppermint ∕ ½‑spearmint Mentha × gracilis kind. Imported to the U.S. in the mid‑to‑late '60s from Southeast Asia, it's used widely in Vietnamese cuisine¹.

The only place I can find online actually selling it is Mulberry Creek Herb Farm in Huron, Ohio – close to Sandusky's Kalahari Resorts. It's on pg. 13 of their catalog. I can't see any way to order and have shipped though. I contacted them last year and they confirmed that they would have it again. I don't have a driver's license though, so can't make a road‑trip to pick some up. I do have a friend who lives in Sandusky but we haven't been able to get together since before the pandemic so haven't been able to arrange for her to pick some up for me to drop‑off on her way through town.

The only other place I've seen it on the internet was a listing for 'Double Mint' plants in an online shop called Pritchett's Small Pets, out of Marietta, South Carolina. I contacted them last year though as well, to ask whether it was the Mentha × spicata or Mentha × gracilis Double Mint, and they replied saying they actually didn't have any at all. :·\

Can anyone point me toward somewhere I can purchase some of this mint, or have any they can sell me/maybe trade for something in our plants list?

We're located in the Downriver Detroit area of Southeast Michigan.
