@LinneaL I have the Anemone in question, but I would not recommend it due to its invasive nature from seed and runners. I can bring you a boat load Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing if that did not scare you. Mike

It is shaping up to be a beautiful day for a plant swap next week Saturday. The weather channel is predicting 77 degrees with a twenty four percent chance of rain.

Linnea,
If you have any leftover from giving to the folks above, I would also love some of the Ligularia Desdemona. Thank you.

By "Full sun rain garden" do you mean it floods periodically? I don't know for any of these. Chocolate Eupatorium is bullet-proof. For the others I don't know. I have asters and phlox like full sun, but I don't know about flooding.

If it's what I am imagining, that's a pretty specific niche, and don't know about it.

Anemone canadensis is invasive? H'mmm. I need to research this more.

2 minutes later: "Aggressive" found on the first hit from google.

I'm going to hold off on it then, and I'll remove it from my wish list. Thanks very much for the warning! I appreciate it.

I should have enough. I haven't dug any of them yet. They start pretty small but catch up fast. Just give it room, it gets to be a pretty big plant.

I know that I am rather late to check in. If any of the following are available, I would be appreciative, but I very much understand if they have been spoken for.

LinneaL
Blue Globe Thistle seedlings

pitimpinai
Allium cristophii/Allium affatunense seedlings
Drumstick Allium seedlings
Variegated Solomon's Seal

Hazelcrestmikeb
Annual Poppy seeds
Prince Of Orange Poppy seedlings
Hosta green and white or Hosta solid green (if large-leaved)

S_Evans
Craspedia
Crackerjack African Marigold

I can bring the following:

antsinmypants
I can bring some mayapple

various heirloom tomatoes (not sure which and how many. Need to pot up seedlings this weekend)
orange daylilies
I'll see what else is kicking around here before the swap

@antsinmypants - good on the huechera

@Jasmine - good on the huechera

@VerdantApt (and @Jasmine) - as for the penstemon digitalis, it is a native. I'm pretty certain it's a Husker Red. @Hazelcrestmikeb had posted a pic in this thread of the Mystica leaves, which are very similar (including the flowers), but I'm now convinced that's not what I have. I'll divide and bring a sprig for each. See my foto.

@pitimpinai - confirming I'll be there for setup.

Couple years ago, scrapped the front lawn for a garden and have been tinkering with the idea of scrapping the adjacent parkway, which has an Oak tree off to the west side. Well, a couple weeks ago, the grass took a good beating because of some construction workers at my neighbor's. So, I'm planning to use the swap as a way to get the parkway garden going. I'll look thru this thread to see if something else catches my eye.
Thanks all.

@Happygardener23 - Yes to marigolds.

It's getting a little late to start more craspedia indoors so I think I will just bring seeds for the folks who recently asked for craspedia and everyone can direct sow in their gardens. They've started very well for me and grow at a good pace, so direct-sowing should work just fine. I actually plan to do that myself as an experiment to see if there is any real benefit to starting craspedia seed indoors under lights versus direct sowing. I have a suspicion direct-sowing might be better since the seedlings DO NOT appreciate being transplanted. They take about 2 weeks to recover and grow much slower than before.

@SuzyinSkokie - I would be interested in any of the following:
- Trumpet vine
- Wooly mint
- Mexican petunia

And I would be happy to share some cucumber, carrot, and radish seeds with you. I would probably hold off on planting the carrot seeds for a few months (I'll probably start my 2nd crop in August) but the cucumber and radish seeds can be planted now.
