I just realized that those are columbines! I've never seen columbines in anything other than bright colors, that's quite a surprise for me.

Oh, that's interesting, Nancy, I have lots of pastel pinks and lavenders. I've had soft lemon yellows in the past, all sort of Easter like colors. I do have some strong deep purples but many of them are more delicate.

Those are really beautiful. I remember when I saw my first columbine flower while walking around, I called it a trekkie flower. Hilarious! I'd never seen anything like it before and it just reminded me of something you'd see on Star Trek with the weird tips pointing upward with tiny balls at the ends. I eventually did find out what it really was, but still have never seen them in pale pinks. Pale yellows I've seen, but only in a two-tone flower and something else darker for the trekkie points.

Aren't they? And they just combine with each other wildly, so you never know what's going to come up. They are a relatively short lived Perennials but make up for it by sheer seeding power!
