Doesn't look like root rot to me, leaf-wise, just not enough moisture to support the nice growth.
When, how, and how much do you water?

I have two potted Money Trees that stay outside year round and they are totally neglected and under watered and the leaves seem to stay dry and crispy like that. Another issue that can cause dry, brown crispy leaf edges is dry air. If the air in your home is dry (which is often the case in northern zones when homes are heated during the winter), the plant may be lacking sufficient humidity.
