I was just asked about this 3 in one Buddleia and was stumped. Is it for real? I suspect it is 3 cuttings stuck in a pot but don't really know. Is it real or is it a Frankenbush?

I don't either and this is not a plant I have ordered but I grabbed that photo off the web when I was asked about it. I don't know where the person who asked me about it got their plant but I noticed it is offered from various sites. It just does not make sense to me. I can't imagine something like a buddleia being grafted.

Yes, that could probably be done with grafting, or by a trio planted close together. Just that the source is questionable, not the idea.

They have marketed 3-in-1 fruit trees for years, so seems like this would be possible by the same methods used for the fruit trees. I've always been tempted to try one of the triple fruit trees.

Is anyone doing anything in this direction?
This reminds me of a spot @ my MIL's house where there is Lantana & butterfly bush intertwined because we planted little propagations of both together in the same hole almost a decade ago. That's been pretty cool. Always a lot of butterflies & bees, and hummers.
