Welcome Mike

I can advise you about one in SD that you should stay away from unless you can plan in semi shade, and that are the little dwarfs and most of the medians. The only way my friend had any luck with the littler ones was to put ice cubes on them, but she loved them so much she did it and most bloomed.

San Diego is lovely my family used to live down in SD and El Cajon. We lived in Whittier, La Mirada for 25+ years and moved to OR in '91

Thank you all for recommending me as I try very hard to please my customers, like they were friends first and then customers

chelle said:Hi, Mike. Welcome to ATP.

Are you looking primarily for known iris? I have one (in particular) that increases very rapidly and produces a lot of blooms but unfortunately, its name was lost.

Big Grin

It is a beauty. It's one my mom picked up...years ago. She did good!

I can't wait till they start showing themselves. We had a decently warm day today, so maybe soon. Smiling

Chelle,

FWIW, that looks a lot like Gay Geisha (Olson 1961). Nice.

TB Iris are just starting to break the ground here...I'll know pretty soon how much extra of this one I'll have this year.

Thanks, Brett. I tip my hat to you. Gay Geisha is definitely a possibility.
