Regarding Fairchild's online sales, they only deliver to a 15 mile radius. I just assumed they would ship plants but that is not the case. Bummer.

Sorry Gina, I think it is a shame with all the money we dish out for auto or homeowners insurance to avoid putting in a claim for fear of being canceled, we've done that before.

Alice, we have a friend from NY, he's lived in FL for well over 40 years, he still scares me to death the way he drives, and his wife is yelling at him the whole time to slow down....LOL. We usually opt to just meet them when we go somewhere with them. Whistling

LOL, I guess it is all the NY'ers down here now. Hilarious!

That is a bummer about Fairchild. A few months ago I saw some giant ferns in a brackish marsh in St. Augustine. They were easily 7' or 8' tall maybe taller, I was on a boardwalk and it was difficult to tell, but the fronds were about 2' wide. I tried to get some with ripe spores but they were out of my reach. They were not your Giant King ferns but I wonder what they are?

I know very few fern types. I've always had too sunny of gardens to use them in any capacity. Aside from the usual macho ferns, the mule's foot was my first foray into them.
