I had taken all my plants outside right before it rained but didn't listen to the rest of the forecast for the week. I didn't get around to bringing them inside for several days & then we had a cold snap. The plants were under a couple trees so I think their canopy protected them somewhat. I have trimmed up my pothos & philodendrons & think (HOPE) they come back. I am mourning how beautiful they were. I trimmed a lot of Sanseveria & some billbergia nutans & hoping they rebound. I think a couple cacti are gone. One of those puffy rock looking ones imploded in itself (guess it split & them caved in) & I cut it off to the soil so not sure if it will grow back from the roots or if I need to toss it. Here are some I don't know about. I don't know if I need to cut anything off or just leave them alone. These are Hiawatha & cacti mostly.

The Stapelia is definitely dead. The others may survive but only time will tell. Don't cut anything off.

Is that the ghost cactus or the ones in the clear containers?

The one in the blue pot. I thought it was a Staplia but now I see it has spines. Whatever it is, its dead.

Frost either makes them look burned, or turns them to rot...yeah, ghost cactus is dead.
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!

Looks like it could be worse.

Get them in better temps and see how they look in a couple of weeks, damage is done.

Upper 30's tonight.

Pulled plants inside for the second time in 20 years about an hour ago, just my kalanchoe tomentosa and new puddle of peas. Not just you having issues.

Never had an major problem before but the last cold snap about 2 months ago wiped out an aloe vera, 6 eschevarias, and 3 solid green chlorophytum. Straight destroyed them, dust, gone. Browned a few monstera leaves, plants themselves are solid but the leaves are compromised.

Good luck!

Darn shame, sorry that happened. Usually up here, I too assume the tree canopy that leafs out in April (here) is enough to protect from a last frost. Once the tree is shady enough so plants don't burn, they'should' also be frost free. But that's here and I guess I am getting moderated by the bay and ocean (not that I am anywhere near enough to count in any other way)
Plant it and they will come.
