Thread OP

Hello,

My money tree has been doing really well for the past year but its leaves have recently started to be covered with spots and to turn yellow before falling... any suggestions please?

Thank you

Hi & welcome! Are you able to add a pic of the whole plant with pot?

New growth looks good in that last picture.

I'd guess a past watering issue that's doing better.
If mine, I'd cut off the funky yellow and spotted leaves.

The spots are weird so I'm looking forward to another opinion.

Never had one, but seems like a very small soil and root/leaf ratio.

When and how do you water?

Agree, I would remove the funky leaves too. And that was my first thought about the new pic too. Such a small pot/soil with such a large tree probably dries very quickly. This kind of plant needs consistently moist soil.

I see what looks like a nutrient deficiency. What are you feeding it? Can you take a picture of top leaves that aren't backlit?

Thanks everyone. Based on what I read, seems to be a watering issue that's now doing better (see below new leaves that look good vs past leaves that are yellowing and falling). I also put a new picture of the pot which is bigger than it looked like in the first picture because of the angle. I think I just wasn't watering the plant enough, especially during winter when the heating is on and drying out the air in the flat...

It was a guess but glad you agree, thanks for the follow up.

Hard to say when it's not your plant.
Hard to say even then sometimes.

Plant looks great.
