I want to plant these under a holly tree, mostly shad in the spring, but as the sun moves toward summer, they get some hotter afternoon sun. In my experience, by the time temps are that warm, they start going dormant-leaves are crispy regardless. So, does it really hurt them to get afternoon sun during the summer?
