I have far more plant friends than human ones, and I see most of them at least once a week. Smiling

But living without dogs would be very very hard for us. Especially given they're practically raining out of the sky around here due to the amount of abandonment going on.

Same here I tip my hat to you. on more plant family and friends. And they appreciate me!

No furry friends, maybe when I retire.

When you discover the cultivar name for your latest aloe hybrid is the grammatically ridiculous 'CROCO ORANGE GEM' and your first reaction is like "yeah yeah totally makes sense"

You know you are really into plants when after seeing seedpods ripen on your cross pollinated amaryllis, you text your BFF.

"We are gramma's now! I cross pollinated my red amaryllis to the fragrant amaryllis you sent me and look 👀 the seedpods are now ripe! The other set is almost ripe! I will give you a tray of seedlings of each type of our grand babies when they sprout!"

For me, their occupation of most of the first floor (1 large basement room too) in my 1840's territorial home for 9 months each year sums that up. Like living in a mid 19th century conservatory. Think it's too "Addam's family"? I wouldn't have it any other way!

When every nook and cranny of your entire back garden has a little peace of pumice wedged in it . This wouldn't be so bad if pumice wasn't so difficult to get and expensive . It's like I am subconsciously trying to sow a pumice crop of save some money Hilarious!

When you want to buy bowls or mugs for your kitchen, one of the consideration is " What succulent will fit nicely into this bowl?", and usually this is the main criteria

When we are traveling, I always check the plant store situation. It's not always practical because of heat or cold, but if it's possible, I'm making the last leg of the journey back home with a plant on my lap if that's the only place it will fit.

While on vacation, most of your pics are of the plants you saw.

Vacation destination preferences are considered based on the plants one might see, presence of botanical gardens, and whether it's the right time for the best blooms of something.

When you plan things like eye exam in an area of the best selection of plant stores. Nothing nearby, so when looking at the map, that's how those decisions are made.

When arranging the furniture in the home, put plant stands and shelves by every window, then allow whatever else that will fit into the room.

Family members complain they have to move plants to find or use ordinary objects. "Honey, should I shower with this plant or do you want to move it?"

Your vehicle is always prepared to transport plants, trunk/hatch area lined with something, have a few small boxes & plastic bags ready, a small jug of water because clearance plants are often in that condition because they're just thirsty.

I wasn't able to see the whole TV all winter because I put a plant in my way. I didn't mind and about half the time, I was just staring at the plant anyway.

You wonder why your life went so wrong that you have to go to some job and leave your plants alone most days.

You've driven more than 2 hours one-way to see or buy plants.

Saturday on your calendar is "plant day" during which you just can't be disturbed. No, there will be no meal, no cleaning, can't help find your socks, and no, I don't want to go anywhere else, unless it's to the beach.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.

Several years ago, my grown daughter went with me to buy a new car. Once the purchase was complete, she said, "Mom, promise me you won't haul plants in this car". My thought was, so what's the point of having a car? Needless to say, the trunk is littered with potting soil and leaves because I most definitely carry plants home in it. Sometimes even the back seat! 😂
