The seed pods are showy! When they start to split open you will be able to remove the seed, then be faced with a ton of seed you neither want to throw away nor sow them and wait a millennium for them to mature.

Seems like you said that after this blooms it may send up pups. I hope that is the case. I may try the seed because the foliage on this plant is beautiful. I have never sold on e-bay.

That's correct Julia, the bulb will die back but should make smaller bulbs at the base of the stem underground. The number and size of bulbs you get will depend on how long the bulb has been established, that is if you bought a bare root bulb which was about to flower you won't get as many as you would if you had the bulb growing for more years.

This one has been in a large container 2-3 years. I know you said to move it but I didn't want to take the chance of killing it before blooming. At that time I was not sure it was going to bloom.
