I have made a proposal that the image be moved to E. Perle von nurnberg.

I would agree, though with low confidence given the size of the plant(s). Gigi, do you have a picture of the plant after it grew out? Says on the photo that it dates to 2014, so this may be ancient history for you. Smiling

I don't have that anymore but I have a lot of perle von nurnburg and they are not as pointy as this one.

Here is Perle von nurnburg as a comparison it has shorter tips. I have a lot of these since cheaper a huge rosette is $3 versus $9 for Lola.

Looking back at the original pic, I'm still not quite sure it's 'Lola' though, based on the purplish color. Well, I guess until we have a better name for it, that's where the image should stay.

Thank You!

Looks to me like a greyish blue with a hint of pink, same as described here, but slightly etiolated.

Also see the third photo:

In contrast, I personally like this Perle thats why I have a few of these (and want to add more) and a lot of babies propagated from leaf cuttings.

Rosette shape seems to be off. It still looks a lot more like Perle to me. Perle is a lot more common at the big box stores. Smiling IMO.

You can get it transferred if you want I have no objection but I agree with you Perle is more common that's why I have a lot of them. I personally love Perl's deep purple color when stressed.

Ok. Part of the whole succulent identification thing is to know how certain plant look like at certain parts of their life. Also accepting when I may have been wrong. And accepting that everyone has different opinions. This is my opinion:

Compare your propagations to these images of Perle taken off the web. Doesn't it look a lot like them?

I am not an expert like I said you can get it transferred if you want. I have no objection. I don't have Lola in my collection but I know my Perle's pretty well. Lovey dubby

I also have no objection if you totally request the image to be deleted by @Baja_Costero or @zuzu.

Give me 24 hours to think about it and I will make the call about whether to move the image. Maybe someone else will weigh in with an opinion. It can always be moved later if necessary.

As a side note about knowing Perle, and this maybe in not the most complimentary way toward her, I went through several generations with that plant, and every single time the babies got to be full sized, the bugs moved in. Massively powerful bug magnet like no other in that genus. I had to banish her from the patio. Smiling

Thank goodness I don't have that issue. Some echevarias don't do well in my area (like the "After Glow"). But so far Perle is common here and no fuss care.

My vote is to just delete this Lola image. It makes no difference to me.

By the way most of my succulents are from big box stores and mostly I collect the common succulents that are mostly in clearance. I love to buy the cheap common ones that are easy to propagate and I can share with my friends without asking a penny. I'm a proud clearance finder and not a collector of fancy not common plants. Except for my seedgrown plumerias and desert roses, most of my succulents collections are common.. I tip my hat to you.

My vote is that we shouldn't delete the image. Deleting the image really serves no purpose (IMO).

The species entry seems the most appropriate to me, following the custom to avoid guessing at further specificity whenever there is uncertainty.

Do you mean the genus entry? Well, Gigi has expressed her wish that the image be deleted, and while I generally prefer relocation to deletion when an ID is in question, that is her call to make in the end.

Yes, sorry, I typed species when I meant genus. Thank you for asking : )
