I've heard rumor that Japan is open for tourism next month, does anyone know when their peony season in south Japan going to be. I would like to be there to see their peonies, any favorite place to go.

Peony season in most of Japan falls in late April - early May.
If you get there in the Fall look for Japanese forest peonies: they are cultivated for their seed pods that open in early Fall. Never seen one here though.
