That's true! And I wouldn't blame them for not liking it; I do my best to get away from the worst of it myself!

I'm really hoping the umbrella/shade cloth continues to help. It looks to be working well, so far. Smiling

@sedumzz My fuzziest centered ones are Jeanne d'Arc, Urmina and a couple of NoIDs. Unfortunately, they all got too hot in the sun Wednesday and are pouting right now.
The furriest is Tarantula.

Ooh, Tarantula!...that one gives me lots of anxiety. I check on my whole collection and then I'm thinking I can't find it because it probably slipped into oblivion. I keep looking, a second once-over and then...there it is: One rosette by itself hanging on by it's remaining cilia...

This belongs to a person that probably doesn't have my kind of anxiety:

FPF, I love how you are working your way through figuring out how to grow semps in Kentucky. Hurray!

Wow, Bev that colony of Chris' 'Tarantula' is stunning.

I fully understand! I have anxiety over Tarantula, too, because it's so cute and fuzzy and I read on the forum somewhere that the fuzzy ones tend to retain moisture in their ciliated centers and that this tendency can encourage rot.
I have had a short heart to heart with it, and have asked it to do its very best to stay healthy.
We'll see if I am any good as a sempervivum whisperer or not. Whistling

It does make me smile though, unlike the spider. ( Blinking )

Thank you, Paleo and Connie. I have had this one for many years. It came from SMG.
